Intimate Love

How would you define intimate love? By your definition, do you consider Romeo and Juliet's connection authentic intimate love?

  1. In my opinion, intimate love is when while in a relationship it isn't simply fooling around. Intimacy is innermost, in other words a very deep connection. Not necessarily a sexual one but one where both partners feel that there is no one else in the picture and there is no possibility of anyone getting between them. There is trust, honesty, and everything positive that should be in a relationship. I believe, what Romeo and Juliet had was authentic intimate love.

  2. Intimate love is having astrong connection with someone. Heart and soul. Intimate love is not based souly on looks or actions, it's when you truly deeply love a person and everything about them. Intimate love consists of both people in the relationship feeling the same, true love for each other.

Romeo and Juliet had a deep connection that intertwined both of their hearts as one. Yes, they did truly love each other in an authentic intimate loving relationship.

  3. To me, intimate love is when you are really serious about the person you love. There is nothing greater than your passion for that person. You would go out of your way for that person and you would do anything for them to show that you truly care about them. By my definition, yes I do consider Romeo and Juliet’s love to be authentic intimate love. Once Romeo died, Juliet didn't want anything to do with anyone anymore. No one wanted her to be happy and she wanted to be with the one she loved forever so she killed herself right after Romeo died. There was no passion greater than the love that they had for each other.

  5. Intimate love comes with time and dedication: what Romeo and Juliet had was a strong connection and lust, but they really thought it was true love and because of their families being in a war state of mind they had no time to think it through. They were first attracted to each other and then the hormones took over. Did they really have any common interests or common goal in life; values that they share that would help bond their love? Intimacy is special: its letting someone into your life, allowing yourself to be vulnerable and trusting that this person isn’t going to hurt you.
Overall, in the fact of intimate love there is a relationship. The root word: “relation”, it means that both people in the relationship have likes and dislikes that each one can relate to. Not because they like the way each other looks or behaves, but who they are taken as a whole.

  7. In my opinion intimate love is when you love a person. That there is no power on Earth that can separate you and the person that you love. I believe that Romeo and Juliet did have an intimate love. They liked each other and couldn't stand to be away. They had a love at first sight even thou they knew that their families hated each other. Overall they loved each other until death took them apart.

  8. Intimate love is when both partners truly love each other. Both partners won’t doubt that they might love someone else. They won’t care about someone else’s opinion that would try to break their love apart. Intimate love is true lovers, lovers that cannot be separated. I believe that Romeo and Juliet did have intimate love. They loved each other since the first time they met. They did not doubt their love for each other at first sight. They realize after they met that their families are rivals but they did not lose the love for each other. Both of their families attempted to recommend and chose who they should love. But, they kept choosing each other as their love of their life.

  10. How I would define intimate love is that it means that the relationship you are having is private. A relationship that is closeley personal. I think Romeo and Juliets relationship is an authentic intimate relatoinship because they are always wanting to be alone because of their parents who are enemies. They always have secret meetings from their families. They had a secret marrige to be together forever without people knowing. This is what I think intimate love means.

  11. - In my opinion intimate love is Love in the private. No one knows. Its like a secret. Its like deep down feelings, true love in the making. In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo really had true feelings for Juliet. He loved her so much he couldn't live without her. Just because their families didn't get along. They still never changed the way they felt about each other. Love doesn't come from the mind it comes from the heart. That Love was always there till the end.

  12. Written throughout this page are various and numerous definitions as to what intimate love is and to whether Romeo and Juliet share an authentic intimate love. Well, in my opinion intimate love is all that love should be.In other words, if the feelings shared in a relationship are not truly intimate, i would not exactly call it authentic love. Having an intimate love for someone, i would say, is when u have a strong, deep, close and personal connection with that person. There is trust and you can confide in that person always. In addition, they feel the same for you. As u can see, there are many different components to what i would consider an intimate love and based on what i feel, i do believe Romeo and Juliet share this love. They would so clearly die for each other and i honestly feel a love could not get much stronger than that.

  14. Personally intimate love is very much like a private relationship. The story Romeo and Juliet has all the qualities of an intimate love,For example theres forgiveness, compasion, conprejension, attraction and love.In Romeo and Juliet's story i feel like they connect in an authentic intimate love way becuase in their love they helped one another, they unerstood one another and always had their ways to overcome their love and most importanly there was honesty.Thats why i feel there love was beyond authentic and pasionet.

  15. Intimate love is complete bonding, total acknowledge toward eachother and showing care/comfortability etc, not by only saying words but by acting upon how you feel and appreciate the person. Sexual desires and constant wantings of affection isn't what love is about. It's feeling safe and respected by eachother to build trust that every action toward eachother truly means something real. Love doesn't necessarily have to be with a person that you are dating, or married to.. it may be a friend or a really close relative. It takes careful consideration, patience and dedication to find the value of a person. When all the time and connections along with closure between the both of you are worth it all, then the relationship grows to intimate love. As far as Romeo and Juliet, I, through my eyes, see that their relationship is not authentic intimate love. They act as if they fell in love with eachother at 'first sight' when in reality they were attracted immediately by appearance. When you think or say that you love someone or are attracted to someone when you barely know them is basically demonstrating the ignorance toward what it takes to actually feel pure love and knowing what it takes. It takes more than a simple glance. Romeo + Juliet physically were drawn to eachother without full acknowledgement to who they are and all about them before quickly assuming from a "Miracle Stare" that they were meant for eachother. Their so called "love" was inconsiderably unadressed and surreal hence lust. -Pratts

  17. •I would say that love is when someone in a realation ship and does not see anyone eles but there partner in his/her life. It's when the butterflies never go away. Intimate love is having a really strong conection with your lover. Nothing and no one can stand between you guys.

•Now Romeo and Juliet did have love, and it was stong, but like the father said med love with their eyes and not with their hearts. Romeo was completly, one hundred percent inlove with Roseline. He was writing poems, couldn't think of anyone elesr but her, and after just one night after seeing Juliet he fell head over heals for her. How do we know if he hadn't seen another beautiful girl he wouldnt fall head over heals for her as well?
I would say they had a strong love, and might have caused them to kill themselvs for eachother, but maybe that was only because they didn't know how to live without eachother anymore.

  18. In my opinion I think intimate love is a close bond between to people in a relationship. It doesnt necessarily mean the two having sex, more say having a strong love for eachother.
In this case I do beilive that Romeo and Juliet is concidered to have an intimate relation, I say this because the to lovers have a strong devotin for eacthother. They also went through all hell to be together. their love was strong, and uncondtional.

  19. In my opinion, intimate love is that deep connection in every relationship that makes that couple want to love more than ever. It could be anything like sex or trusting one another. Intimate love is different every relationship, however I do consider Romeo and Juiliet's connection as intimate love, because they would do anything to be together and that's another way intimate love can be define.

  20. well in my opinion intimate love is way more than what Romeo and Juliet thought that there so called love was. Love is filled with passion, strength, pain, joy, pleasure and so much more. What Romeo and Juliet had ,in my opinion was just lust. It wasn't love at first sight, it was all just lust.

Once Romeo layed his eyes on Juliet he had forgotten about Rosaline. Maybe becasue Juliet was more beautiful, or because she just seemed more actractive. Intimate love is when your whole heart and soul is in that one single person that you are with. That person you will do anything for. Intimate love is most often expressed by sexual activites with that very special person you love. There are other ways to express intimate love without sex though.

Just by giving your all to the person and telling tthem how much you mean to you and telling them you love them can be intimate love. Kissing, sleeping together(actually sleeping) just letting that person be into your very own soul, is enough.intimate love (sexually) should not be in the question until you really know the person and been through your ups and downs with them. Also when you can honestly say " i lvoe you" and mean it to your partner without any second thoughts.

Intimate love should not come fast, it should take time before you reach that point. What romeo and Juliet had was lust, and the love they thought they had was probably puppy love. Intimate love is strong, so it is very hard to break. That takes a while, so take your time and it will progress to something great.

  21. Intimate love is an exclusive love that is a strong bond or connection between a couple. this connection is not made through lust or materialistic objects but for the sheer force of loving every character of the one's personality and life. this love can be shown through affection or through caring and consideration and so valuable one may not experience it in their life more than once or at all.

  22. love is when you have the same reaction to a another preson but it is more deep in your heart and it makes the too person wana be together even if it means death. that is what i would call love

  23. i would define intimate love as loving someone, body and soul. accepting them for who they are not judging a book by its cover like others do now these days. i believe that Romeo and Juliet's love wasn't really intamite because they had just met and then what its love at first sight, i don't believe it. that's how he probably got his heart broken the first time.i really think he just liked her because she had a pretty face not for her.

  24. In my opinion Intimate Love is a type of love were the people only have physical attraction for each other. Only lloking at their looks and what they can give to them. I conisder Romeo and Juliets Love as Intimate Love because after the first time they met they were head over heals for eachother. Not knowing who they were they were in love with eachother already and wanted to get married. At the ages' they were who really knows what love is ?

  25. I honestly believe that intimate love is when your truly inlove with the person in your dreams. Usually people often take lve as a joke but others take it extremly serious and deep down to the heart, just like Juliet & Romeo did when they first layed eyes on each other. Unlike the relationship with juliet and Paris which had zero connection, but notice that when romeo died juliet sacrificed her life just to lay right next to her true lover/soul mate...Romeo Montague....in reality if you really think about it just imagine how many people in this planet wold do that for their true love, i think absolutely not. Why, beacuse nowadays partners go on and cheat with the people they know which is ridiculous. But, it's really something to think about, imagine you in the position of juliet....would you give up your life for Death.!!!

  26. I define intimate love as a stromg emotion you feel for that one person you love.Love is a strong affection you have towards soemone your attached to. Romeo & Juliet love was unthinkable when they first laid eyes on one another they knew they were meant to be. They shared intimate love. They even died for one another which shows their love was authentic.

  27. Intimate love is an emotion that is between just two people. It doesn't matter if it's between two family members, two friends, or two lovers. Intimate love can be described as having a deep connection with another person. So I consider that Romeo and Juleit did have intimate love since they both did have a deep connection even though they've known each other for a little bit of time.

My point of view to intimate love is when you express your love sometimes in a sexually manner. Sometimes it doesn't have to be that way. Also its expressing the deep emotion you have for each other.
Yes Romeo and Juliet had authentic intimate love, they'd risk everything just so that they can be together and continue their strong relationship .

  29. Intimate love is more than just a sexual feeling it is also mental. Romeo and Juliet understood each other well and so their love was also intimate. Imtimate love is also a love that connects. This is just my point of viwe but Romeo killed himself after thinking his love was dead, isn't that sweet? They would take the risk of loving each other through the many dangers that came their way.

  30. For me intimate love is when two people feel really deep love for each other not just sexual activety, but deep inside the haert. In my opione intimate is not about playing around. It think it's about mentally loving, understanding, and caring for each other in a very important level.Like in the play Romeo & juliet would always protect each tother no matter what would happen.

Love is when you care for some one. Love is like when you would protect them from anything and every thing. Love is to take a bullet for someone.Important aspects of intimate relationships are physical and emotional intimacy. Physical intimacy is characterized by romantic or passionate love and attachment, or sexual activity. Romeo and Juliet had both love and and intimate relationship for a quick second.

  32. love is when 2 hearts combine and make a whole. it is when cupid shoots his arrow from far in the skies and lets two souls complete as one. love is a combination of fun family and laughter. love is intimate. love is love. by chayanne

  33. I believe intimate love is mostly about being affectionate like kissing. It mostly focuses on that and not really anything deep. I think that Romeo and Juliet had intimate love because they had love at first site they only saw the surface. They immediatly started kissing and being affectionate everytime they would see eachother they would kiss. They always wanted to see eachother and not look within, they moved fast.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't think that the love was real. I say this because as soon as they saw each other for like 30 seconds and sarted making out. I don't get it. It's that "Love at first sight" crap. And that's the problem. It's like the saying, "It's more than what meets the eye" but they both kinda were twitterpated a bit. I say it's more or less, "lust" than love.

  35. well to me intimate love is something really strong because the didn't just like each other the loved each other the put alot on the line for each other for example romeo encountered with tybalt twice and that put his life in danger for his love juliet and at the end like it said till death do us part and the die together that is strong to me

    ReplyDelete
  36. my defenition of intimate love: true love shared by people equally for each other.
romeo and juliet have strong intimate love because they fight for each other to be as close as possible. i mean, why would you fight for someone so much to be with you unless you TRUELY love them :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't really know if Romeo and Juliet's story was infinite. I think so because they just met and they was ready to die for each other in a short period of time and without even thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Intimate love for me means wanting and having passion for someone and having the desire to be with them and help them thought the way. Not wanting to be a parted from that person. I do think that Romeo and Juliet had a intimate relationship because i do believe in love of first sight. The way he thought of her and the way they wanted to be with each other was so powerful and meaningful.

  39. In my opinion inmate love is an emotion by two people who falls in love at first sight. real love is the sense of not loving with the eyes but my the soul. Romeo fall in deep love at first sight. Romeo is like a child who is in love or otherwise puppy love. So no romeo and juliet are not actually in love.

  40. Intimate love is a strong bond in which two people share. Intimate love is so strong that a couple will be willing to do anything for eachother, all in the name of love. Romeo and Juliet are a great example of Intimate love. They show devotion towards eachother. They are willing to go against their families just to see eachother. What amazed me the most was that they were willing to die for eachother at the end. Just the thought of not being able live without each other shows true devotion. If not intimate love then I don't know what is.

  41. Intimate love is when 2 people express there feelings sexually , mentally and physically. Romeo and Juliet had intamate love they showed strong devotion for one another . I believe that inatame love is nopt jjust sex . its based upon feelings .

  42. I define intimate love as something that people have towards eachother, which is a storg emotion. ♥ love is like no other feeling its like when you cant really speak infornt of a person, when you get shy around people. Love is some time unexplained. It comes from the heart. Yes i do consider Romeo and Juleit's love as intimate love. It was love a first site.

  43. In my opinion intimate love is basically when you have sexual relationships with a person .Humans have a universal need to belong and to love which is satisfied within an intimate relationship. Intimate relationships consist of the people that we are attracted to, whom we like and love, romantic and sexual relationship.
I think Romeo and Juliet had an authentic love because they were fully commited to eachother and they really loved eachother. They showed us that in the movie and the story because they died for eachother .Basically that is what authentic means.
